We’ve been following Sri Lanka-based producer Mattlows for some time now. We featured three of his tracks on our latest Deepdown Radio Progression Sessions mix.
He’s at again with a restrained, yet powerful mix of Rikken‘s track Stringbox.
The track begins with a menacing low pad that sustains throughout. A disciplined, subby bassline gets us going. The melodies build slowly with a nice build-up from the breakdown.
Really nice restraint and tension throughout. So much of the experience of a track is defined by space. Less is often more.
